The only time I ever voluntarily exercise is for, like, the March of Dimes, or sometimes the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and, ashamedly, I haven't even done that in about four or five years. But I was running out of legitimate errands to run and I really don't have the money to make up new errands, so working out was my only way out.
I'm so pathetically out of shape it's not even funny. Today, my arms feel like they're going fall off, and I don't really think I'd mind too much. I mean, lots of paraplegics and amputees learn how to use their feet as hands, right? That might be kinda cool. I could paint crappy pictures and guilt people to buy them because I have no arms. It might be a good thing. I took some Aleve this morning, which is the only reason I'm able to move them enough to even type this, but I still hurt. The worst part? All this pain is for naught. He overslept. I still had to talk to him a little bit when I got back from killing myself.
I'm definitely not going to try that tactic again today, but he wanted to get an early start today to go the Holocaust Museum, and it's already 10 so maybe he'll rush out of here and I won't have to deal with him. He still won't get in to the museum, but if it gets him out of here, I'm not gonna tell him that.
I can't wait until he goes back home. I thought it was today, but, surprise! He's staying until the end of the week. What joy is mine. I long for the day when I can afford my own place and the only loser boyfriends hanging around will be my own.
Happy thoughts, the Emmy noinations were this morning.
Good things:
Zach Braff FINALLY got a nom! I think it's more b/c of his work in Garden State than for Scrubs but hey, if it got him his so long overdue it's criminal Best Actor nomination, I'm not complaining.
Arrested Development and Scrubs in the Best Comedy category. They don't stand a chance against Desperate Housewives but they are by far the one and two best comedies on TV and the only two watchable sitcoms.
Terri Hatcher for Best Actress.
Sayid and Locke for Best Supporting Actor.
Lost for Best Drama.
Sandra Oh as Best Supporting Actress. Grey's Anatomy rocks my face off. I really didn't think it'd get anything this year though, because it was a mid-season replacement and not a terribly big hit.
Jon Stewart and The Daily Show getting honored.
"Dewey's Opera" got a nomination for Best Original Song. That episode of Malcom in the Middle was actually funny, like the show used to be.
Bad Things:
The West Wing for Best Drama.
Richard Schiff didn't get anything. He's the only West Winger that should've gotten honored. Toby had a really strong season this year and It's upsetting to me that Alan Alda got recognized but Toby got the shaft. Although, I highly suspect that Alda got his for his film work. Vinnick was hardly around at all, and when he was he wasn't all that spectacular.
Lauren Graham got over looked again. This is getting ridiculous. Jane Kaczmarek is a good actress, but her show sucks. This was probably LG strongest year, although it was a pretty dramatic one. I hate how shows like Gilmore Girls who thread the needle and aren't Desperate Houswives get overlooked. It's not really a comedy, it's not really a drama, so let's just ignore it like we did BtVS for seven years.
Anything Everybody Loves Raymond got. Thank God that show is over.
Anything Will and Grace got.
Judging Amy Best Drama? WTF? I honestly thought that show was off the air.
Dr. Cox from Scrubs didn't get Best Supporting Actor. He's way funnier than Sean Hayes or Brad Garett. WAY funnier.
